Yesterday was a big day in the world of my 15 year old grandson, Austin John. He was very excited to get to see the "Total Eclipse of the Sun" so soon in his short 15 years. Grammy had to look at the eclipse thru a welding helmet that Dave Settle allowed her to borrow, but Austin, being 15 and knowing way more about the "Smart Phone" than his grandmother, was able to catch an AWESOME picture with his "selfie mode". Now, I will admit that I had no idea that the filters on the "selfie mode", would allow such a great picture. As everyone knows, it was very cloudy here yesterday, so I was not even sure we would be able to see anything. My grandson, in all his wisdom, caught that awesome picture and sent it to everyone he knew. I have put that picture on the rotator, on the top of this page, for everyone to see.
Thank you, Austin, for educating your grandmother, and many others, on how to get a great picture of the grand show in the sky. Hope everyone enjoys this picture as much as I did.
