Work safe - drink plenty of water...
Updated On: Jul 05, 2012

We all know elevators do not like the heat, and the elevator man hates it even more.  It has been a very hot, very long, stretch of weather that does not have an end in sight.  I did see this morning that next week will be mid to upper 80's.  WOW that number has a 8 in it instead of a 9.  Alot of people still do not have power after the bad storms of Friday June 29th.  Check on your family, your friends, and your neighbors.  Make sure they have electric and if they don't offer to help.  Water, use of your fridge (so they don't loose everything in their fridge), or just a couple of hours sitting in your living room soaking up the cool air. When it is this hot ,and you have no electric, it is the little things that make a VERY BIG difference.  It won't take much to bring a big smile to that persons face.  Watch out for each other.  Make sure you drink plenty of water and if you don't have electric, try to at least sit in the shade outside.  I know it does not feel a whole lot cooler, but it really is.  Don't forget our 4 legged children either.  They over heat very easily in this weather.  Put ice in their water bowls and keep them in the shade with you.  Hopefully all the electric will be back on soon.  The only bad thing is, all the elevators will be put back in service, and the customer is going to want an elevator man "to look them over."  Service calls will go thru the roof!!!
