Another successful drive
Updated On: Nov 13, 2017

I would like to thank everyone who came out yesterday for the blood drive.  It was nice to see some of our Retired members here.  Billy Johnston, Pat Davis, Chip Carr, John Jenkins and his wife Maggie, all came out to donate.  Dan Cellucci and Heather Harris, from the Otis Office, joined us.  Now, if the big boss can make time in his busy schedule to donate, then those under him should be able to join him.  I will work on that for next time.  We had several amazing donors who elected to help even further by donating Power Reds.  Each of these people spent an extra 15 min on the table to donate Red Blood Cells.  These are used for those suffering with cancers and other disease who need blood treatment.  Thank you to Ryan Hicks, Mike Herrity III, Joe Mister, Heather Harris, and Ken Smith.  These donors gave enough Red Blood Cells to equal 2 donations a piece.  Even the Business Manager rolled up his sleeve for the first time.  Dave was challenged by Local #7 Business Agent, Mark Nutting to get involved.  To Daves credit, he was up for the challenge.  Thank you, Dave and Mark, for coming out to help others.

Each time I do one of these, I see more new faces.  That is AWESOME!!!  We work in a very dangerous trade and I would hate to think that if one of our Brothers or Sisters was to get hurt and need blood, they would not have it.  That is a very scary thought to me.  Please consider joining us, next time.
