Many of you are aware, but some are not, that Brother Joey Garner was involved in a very serious ATV accident 2 weeks ago. Joey was thrown from his ATV and hit a telephone pole. He has no feeling in his lower body. He has had rods and pins put in his back, in hopes that once the swelling goes down he may get feeling back. He also had a head injury. He has been moved to National Rehab center and could be there as long as 2 years, from what I have been told. Our brother needs our help right now. I worked with Joey at Schindler for over 10 years and he is one of the nicest guys you ever want to meet. Like all elevator men, he likes to joke and play around but when it comes to his family, he is very serious. Joey is going to be out of work for a long time and will need help in keeping up with bills and other every day things. He will also need to have adjustments made to his home. There has been a GoFundMe set up for him and his family. You can click here:
to help in any way. Nothing is too little, so please give if you can afford to. You may also drop donations off at the Union Hall and we will get them to Sharon. Our prayers go out to Joey and Sharon as they lean on each other for strength. Lord knows that hard headed elevator men will try and do what ever you tell them they can't do, so lets hope that Joey gets back on his feet as soon as possible. Thank you for all, prayers, money and thoughts for this family. God bless!
